Biography : Alireza completed his BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology– in 2003 and 2005, respectively. In 2011, he received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Grenoble INP- Grenoble Institute of Technology, Grenoble, France. His Ph.D. thesis was titled "Multi Criteria planning of distribution networks under various uncertainties ". He is currently a Senior Power Systems Researcher in University College Dublin with research interests in the areas of distributed energy resources and distribution systems. He was elected as the ENRE Young Researcher Prize winner at the INFORMS 2013.

Alireza is funded through the SEES Cluster, supported by Science Foundation Ireland under Grant Number SFI/09/SRC/E1780.

Project: Optimal planning and operation of energy resources under various uncertainties.
The goal of this project is to investigate and develop novel solutions for integration of distributed energy resources, which will enable the secure and reliable operation of existing and future power systems under various uncertainties.
